Bardic tradition is alive and well in Albion

3 young men, Ed Will and Ginger, have been walking around Britain singing folk songs for their supper and trusting to the gods to guide their way. Along the road they have met and touched the lives of many people and as their journey continues they will touch many more.

The best way to understand their story is to visit their my space pages: These three young men are the walking singing embodiment of the Bards of old, and we honour them for walking true to this path, bringing joy and opening hearts and minds wherever they go.

We have been in touch with the three, and invited them to perform some of their songs and tell of their story at Stonehenge when next their path leads them here.

Visit them to see video’s of their story so far and to listen to their music.

“Ed, Will and Ginger are singing adventurers, who walk the ways of Britain, living outside, singing traditional songs for their supper, learning endangered skills and meeting unbelievable people.... In various combinations, they have walked from Canterbury to Cornwall, and back along to Somerset…they have walked the Pilgrim’s Way, from Winchester to Canterbury…and they have walked the Ridgeway from Oxford to Glastonbury.... They sing three-part “folk” songs, ancient and modern, wherever song is welcome. They busk in heaving towns, chant in crumbling chapels, and get feet tapping in many a-pub across the land. A few of their songs are now available from this myspace.... A documentary was made of Ed and Will in Cornwall 2007, after 6 months walking from Canterbury. This won a Royal Television Society award, and has since been aired on BBC ONE.”

We would like to wish these gentlemen our very best wishes, may the gods guide their footsteps.

They will be welcome by the Stonehenge-druids when they can next be there, which just possibly, may be the summer solstice but only if the path they walk is ready by then...
